Within 15 Yrs Nearly 70% of India's population could be middle class - Indian's will be 1.718 billion in 2060

"Today, India has a tiny middle class by global standards. But if it continues its growth, 70% of the Indian population could be middle class within 15 years," the ADB the report said. Seven Asian economies India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand will account for 45% of global GDP By 2050.

  • India's population is projected to peak at 1.718 billion in 2060, after which it will decline.
  • On October 31 this year, the world will have its seven billionth person.
  • World population in 2050 of 9.31 billion.
  • By 2100 World will have 10.1 billion people.
